• And It Felt Like Home

This past weekend was spent in one of our favorite cities, Knoxville, TN. We visited for the first time last year and had a blast! Wanted to share just a few of our favorite things to do and see in the city, most of which involve food. Market Square is absolutely beautiful and has so many great places to eat and shop. We love Tupelo Honey’s biscuits and blackberry jam. I’m not normally a fried chicken and gravy kinda girl but their version won me over heart and soul! The French Market is an amazing creperie and is a great place to stop for brunch or early morning coffee. For dessert we loved chilling at Coffee & Chocolate…the name says it all! Dexter loved playing in the fountains in the square and exploring the park across the street. The locals were so welcoming and friendly and we met some lovely people. One of the things we love most about this city is the Ijams Nature Center located basically right in the city. Miles and miles of beautiful trails and the enchanting Jo’s Grove for the kiddos. It only took us minutes to get there from downtown. Once again we had a fabulous time in this city. We have visited a lot of great places but there are a small few that make you want to call them home and for us, this is one of them.Would love to hear of your favorite spots in Knoxville and we will be sure to add it to our list of things to investigate next time!
